Richard Battaglia Front of House Mix Position

For the last few years, Richard has been using an Innovason Digital Console. It's the Compact SY40, a 32 channel mix board with 8 “line in” inputs. It's comparatively small, only 4 feet wide and weighs only 82 lbs. This board includes dynamics for each channel, EQ, High Pass/Low Pass, and compressor. There are no effects in this console. The cool thing about a digital board is that you can save each song. When the set list is printed, Richard puts the list in the board and during the show, moves from one song to the next. This means that each song already has a mix, with channel eq's and input levels set. It's a matter of fine tuning each time the band plays the song! Of course a small problem arises when the band changes the set list….
